The Love of Jesus

Jesus offers His love freely to each of us—wherever we are on our personal journeys. His love is powerful and deeply transformative.

When Jesus meets us, He engages with every part of who we are:

  • Our thoughts
  • Our desires
  • Our relationships
  • Our identity
  • Our deepest longings

The love of Jesus declares:

“I see you. I want you. I am for you. And I alone can satisfy your soul.”

In love, He gently invites us to surrender—our past, our hopes for the future, our thoughts, desires, relationships, identity, and even our very bodies—so that we might find true life in Him. He knows us more deeply than we know ourselves and lovingly leads us into the fullness of His design and purpose for our lives.

Who We Are

We are many—men and women within the Church who do not identify as “gay” or with the LGBTQ+ community—yet who experience same-sex attraction or gender incongruence.

We have come to different conclusions than those of the LGBTQ+ communities and the culture:

We have different perspectives on the origin(s) of our same-sex attraction.

  • We believe there are other paths forward—we do not believe the only option is to self-identify as gay or with the LGBTQ+ community.
  • We are not “gay Christians.” We are Christian men and women who experience same-sex attraction.
  • We are opening our lives to all that Jesus has for us, longing to obtain His design and intent for our sexuality and gender.

Our Need for the Church

We often find little support and much opposition. We deeply need the Body of Christ.

Those of us pursuing sexual purity and relational wholeness according to His Word need your:

  • Encouragement
  • Prayer
  • Fellowship

What We’re Looking for in a Church

We are looking for a church that:

  • Upholds Biblical Sexual Ethics Affirms that sexual expression belongs only within marriage between one man and one woman, in a covenant that is exclusive and lifelong. Affirms that gender is created by God and binary.
  • Walks with Patience and Compassion Offers accountability, encouragement, and time to grow into His design.
  • Makes Room for Struggle Creates safe spaces where we can share our fears, temptations, and questions without shame.
  • Listens for What We Share in Common Even if you don’t know our exact struggle, you know what it means to struggle.
  • Affirms God’s Reflection in Us Reminds us of His design for godly masculinity and femininity, and reflects that back to us in your own lives.
  • Speaks of Us as Family Talks about us—not as outsiders, but as brothers and sisters in Christ pursuing purity and holiness according to our Creator’s intent.
  • Includes Us in Authentic Relationship Invites us into deep, safe, life-giving bonds of Christian fellowship. We need you, and you need us. God passes His grace and strength through relationships within His Body.

Our Message to the Church

We are here. We are many. We are men and women within the Church who experience same-sex attraction or gender incongruence, yet who desire to follow Jesus faithfully in our sexuality, gender, and identity.

Church—please talk about us. Please make room for us. Please include us. We are here.
